EuroLeague Fantasy points (FPT): how they are scored

In EuroLeague Fantasy a player scores his PIR, plus 10% of it when his team wins. Here is the rule, worked examples, the captain and bench multipliers, and how coaches score.

The rule

FPT = PIR + 10% of |PIR| if his team wins. PIR is the official EuroLeague rating (what it is and how it is calculated). In a loss the player scores his PIR as it is.

Examples

  • 33 PIR in a win: 33 + 3.3 = 36.3 FPT.
  • 18.7 PIR in a loss: 18.7 FPT.
  • -3 PIR in a win: -3 + 0.3 = -2.7 FPT.

Why it matters

The win bonus means that, for the same performance, a player on a favoured team is worth a little more. And the FPT of the round decide whether his price goes up or down (how prices change).

Frequently asked

What is FPT in EuroLeague Fantasy?
FPT means Fantasy points: the points a player scores for your team in a round. It is his PIR in the game, plus 10% of that PIR (in absolute value) when his team wins.
Does a player lose points when his team loses?
No. A loss adds nothing and takes nothing away: the player scores exactly his PIR. Only a win adds the 10% bonus.
How is a negative PIR scored after a win?
The bonus is 10% of the absolute value, so it always adds. A player with -5 PIR in a win scores -5 + 0.5 = -4.5 FPT.
How do captain and bench points work?
Your captain scores double. The five starters and the sixth man score 100%, and the rest of the bench scores 50% of their FPT.
How do coaches score?
By the result of their team: win by 1-10 or in overtime +10, by 11-20 +20, by more than 20 +25; lose by 1-10 or in overtime -5, by 11-20 -10, by more than 20 -20.
